A great signing for the Pulse

The Central Pulse has just had its best season in the ANZ Bank Netball Championship. And the franchise has just made its biggest-ever signing; Stuff reports:

The Central Pulse netball team have pulled off the greatest signing coup in their history by securing the services of Silver Fern goal shoot Irene van Dyk.
Van Dyk, 41, is based in Wellington, and played for the Capital shakers up until 2002, when she joined the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic.
She has long been regarded as the world's finest goal shoot, and eyebrows have been raised at her reluctance to play for The Pulse, her hometown team in the trans-Tasman netball competition.
But after 11 years of commuting up the North Island to Hamilton, van Dyk is finally home.

This is great news for the Pulse. Irene van Dyk will add some wow factor to the side in 2014 and help to make the Pulse a real contender rather than a perennial also-ran.
