There was a reasonable sized earthquake around 9am this morning, felt widely, but especially in Wellington.

Rob Hosking from the NBR seems to have isolated the cause:

However Green MP Gareth Hughes is still insisting that fracking causes earthquakes, the death of Maui dolphins, and everything else that is wrong in society. Frankly, we think Rob Hosking's theory has more credibility!
