Politics apart, Jason Gunn is quite right. Bob Parker's service to the people of Christchurch in the days and weeks after the earthquakes was remarkable.
The size of the task facing Parker and his Council since then has proved beyond their capability. We hope that Lianne Dalziel is ready for the biggest challenge of her political career.
