So much for the fishy protest

Even the normal rent-a-mob seems to have tired of protests against the GCSB Bill; TVNZ reports:

Around 20 protesters rallied outside John Key's Parnell residence, waving a giant paper mache fish made in the Prime Minister's likeness.
One protester tried to throw a box of rotten snapper at Mr Key's house, but was intercepted by police.
The proposed changes to snapper quotas would lower the number of snapper recreational fishers would be allowed to catch from nine to three.
The he GCSB bill would extend the powers of the Government Communications Security Bureau to allow for it to provide support for the Police, Defence Force and the Security Intelligence Service.
Earlier in the week John Key said he thought most Kiwis care more about the proposed changes to fishing quotas than to the controversial spying legislation.

Is that Auckland mayoral candidate John Minto on the extreme right of the photograph? And TVNZ's "Around 20 protesters" seems a bit over-optimistic; we counted thirteen in the TVNZ image.

In any event, this protest seems to have a bit of a wet fish. We reiterate our position of this morning though; targeting the homes of MP's is a step too far.
