Quote of the Day - 21 June 2013

Left-leaning political commentator Dr Bryce Edwards reckons that the Greens have sold out:

The Greens have sold out their principles and policies very easily. That's the message that will be taken away from the decision by co-leader Russel Norman to do a U-turn on quantitative easing (QE; or 'money printing'). The Greens have shown that they are now so pragmatic and power-hungry that they will quickly ditch the policies they believe in if it will help them get into government.

When their allies are saying things like this, surely it's time for the Green Party leadership to sit up and take notice.

UPDATE: Duncan Garner has taken a swipe at the Greens as well. Describing the flip-flop over quantitative easing as "an absolute embarrassment" to the Greens, he has christened it the "back-down of the year".
